  15.     I have an excellent recipe I got from a high school spanish
  16. teacher many years ago.  This is a pretty open recipe, and very adaptable.

  20. 2 lemons
  21. 2 limes
  22. 4 oranges
  23. 3 apples
  24. 1 large container of frozen strawberries
  25.     (this can be either the whole, unsweeted type,
  26.      or the sugared halves.  I prefer the latter.
  27. 1 bottle of cheap burgundy wine (don't waste your money 
  28.     on good stuff)
  29. orange juice (unspecified amount)
  30. brandy  (unspecified amount)

  32.     Slice lemons, limes, oranges, and apples into thin slices,
  33. leaving the skin on.  Put them into a large pitcher. (You may need two
  34. pitchers) Dump defrosted strawberries on top of the rest of the fruit.
  35. Pour the wine into the pitcher, so that it covers the fruit.  Cover,
  36. and put in the fridge to marinate for a minimum of 4 hours.  After the
  37. fruit has marinated, stir in orange juice and brandy to taste,
  38. depending on how strong you wish the sangria to be.  If it is bitter,
  39. add sugar to taste.  I usually do, then again, I like everything sweet.

  41.     Serve in large clear glasses with the fruit in the glass.
  42. People are expected to put their fingers in and eat the fruit as they
  43. drink the wine.  This is not a high society drink.  Several glasses and
  44. you will not care anyway.

  46.     This is an excellent drink for parties.  Serve with an array
  47. of finger appetizers.
